The Facilities Manager oversees daily operations, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the facility, managing the porter team and ensuring all equipment is maintained to company standards.

Responsibilities

Reports directly to the General Manager

Attends weekly meeting with General Manager

Attends weekly operations meeting

Supervises, trains, and schedules the Porter Team

Ensures all porter tasks are completed accurately and timely

Maintains communication with staff, vendors, and service providers

Conducts a daily full-building walkthrough to ensure all areas are clean, organized, stocked, and free of miscellaneous items

Ensures all kitchens, dish rooms, storage areas, offices, meeting spaces, bathrooms, and employee areas are properly maintained and event-ready

Oversees cleanliness and proper functioning of all kitchen, pastry, and facility equipment (walk-ins, ovens, dish machines, mechanical systems, etc.)

Ensures trash, recycling, and sanitary stations are emptied, lined, and well-placed throughout the building

Maintains exterior areas—including loading dock, parking lot, entrances, and trash area—to ensure safety and cleanliness

Ensures company vehicles are emptied, cleaned, and parked correctly
