The Senior Accountant will assist in building and maintaining the accounting function for a newly launched product offering, joining a team of motivated accounting and insurance professionals.

Responsibilities
Utilize underwriting and accounting systems to bill premiums and follow up on outstanding premium collections
Research policy and endorsement activity to support premium reconciliation
Coordinate endorsement issuance to resolve premium discrepancies
Produce, reconcile, and distribute monthly reporting packages (claims bordereau) for insurance carrier partners
Reconcile premium trust accounts and resolve reconciling items
Apply cash receipts
Process disbursements and refunds as necessary
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries
Perform monthly account reconciliations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3 years of industry and/or public accounting experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
