This hands-on leadership role is for an experienced accounting professional who will own the close process, lead teams, and drive operational improvements in a complex organization.

Responsibilities
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Oversee general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations
Manage and mentor accounting staff across AP, AR, and related functions
Lead annual financial statement audit and support compliance audits
Oversee cash management, investments, and treasury activities
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives
Prepare reports and financial analysis for senior leadership and board use
Drive process improvement, automation, and internal controls enhancement
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax filings (federal, state, local)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
5+ years of accounting or finance experience
3+ years in a leadership or management capacity
Strong GAAP knowledge and audit experience
Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Hands-on leader with strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred
CPA and/or Master's degree preferred
Background in higher education or nonprofit accounting is a plus
