Responsibilities
Marketing advisor for a business, typically leading or contributing on projects of moderate scope and complexity
Highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge/expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas

Develops marketing strategies and plans; understands market and growth drivers, creates a vision of market, channel, and segment potential, develops value propositions and proof points that further our competitive advantage, and translates business strategies into marketing plans
Delivers and monitors results; ensures stated objectives are delivered on plan (monitor/early indicators) and where required, takes corrective actions to achieve targets
Analyzes past results and makes recommendations to maximize return on investment
Evaluates effectiveness of in market activity – Post Implementation Review (including recommendations)

Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent relevant experience
7+ years experience
Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred
Residential lending product marketing experience
7+ years of prominent banking institution experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing
Deep specialized (SME) knowledge within marketing planning or line of business marketing
Experience with forecasting and comfort navigating P&L impact/drivers
Ability to apply in-depth and specialized expertise and/or a significant breadth of expertise in Marketing and other related disciplines including creative development and market research
Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry
Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services
Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and moderate risk exposure, in addition to leading a team of professional peers
Sophisticated understanding of clients through the interpretation of end user research and analytics
Ability to provide direction, coaching and leadership to other teammates, particularly around marketing programs development & management, and around creative development
Ability to exercise independent judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities
Strong relationship building skills resulting in the ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective
Strong presentation skills and communication skills
Demonstrated budget management experience
Demonstrated experience working with multiple external partners, agencies, and business lines to achieve campaign objectives and meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience direct-to-consumer and/or digital marketing campaigns, life-style triggers, or customer cross-sell journeys, including strategy, launch and post-implementation review
Analytical, big-picture thinker: experience building innovative test-and-learn strategies and evolving marketing program to best in class
Ability to contribute to strategic direction of their portfolio and provide advice and recommendations to senior leadership
Experience with project management tools and visual dashboards (Adobe Workfront, QuickBase and Jira a plus)
Experience operating in Pods/Agile environment (i.e. Scrum-Methodology or Kanban), a plus
Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables and reporting, visuals, etc.)
