Senior Manager, Human Resources (MS NOW)

VERSANT is a leading force in news, sports and entertainment, and they are seeking a Senior Manager for Human Resources for the MS NOW Network. This role is responsible for providing operational HR leadership and collaborating with the senior leadership team to implement HR strategies and solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead and leverage HR processes (incl. Staffing, Benefits, Performance Management, Compensation/Reward Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement & Communication)
Partner/collaborate with senior leadership team to align and execute HR strategies in support of operations
Manages complex employee relations issues
Develop and implement appropriate change management plans as required
Support employee engagement and talent mobility initiatives
Implement and monitor adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices
Ensure compliance with state & federal laws
Provide advice, counsel and coaching to employees regarding HR policies and procedures
Identify, select, develop and retain world-class talent and ensure a dynamic pipeline
Manage SAP HR system - maintain integrity of employee data
Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements

Required

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years professional level HR experience
3+ years proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred

Master's degree (MBA, MSHRM)
HRLP graduate
Knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including U.S employment and labor laws, employee relations, management & leadership development, performance management, organizational design and compensation philosophies
Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance or direct supervision
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems with creative solutions
Process and detail oriented, including strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently, strategize and influence at all organizational levels
Solid work ethic
Demonstrated ability to understand the clients' business and develop both strategic and tactical solutions to tangible business challenges
Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions
Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
SAP HR knowledge
Ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints
