Consultant Neurologist with interest in Epilepsy
NHS Lothian is dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within its workforce. They are seeking a Consultant Neurologist with a focus on epilepsy and neuro-oncology to provide both general neurology services and specialized outpatient clinics, while also contributing to the on-call neurology service.

Responsibilities
Contribute to general neurology services through outpatient clinics, ward referrals, and on-call duties
Run specialist outpatient clinics in epilepsy and neuro-oncology
Contribute to EEG and video telemetry reporting
Be an active member of the epilepsy surgery MDT
Liaise with haematology services at the Western General in patients with neurological complications of CAR-T therapy and stem cell transplantation in neurology
Contribute to the ‘on-call’ neurology service (currently a 1:11 rota)
Qualification
Required
Full GMC Registration
A license to practise
Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview for those trained in the UK
Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded
Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training
