Responsibilities

Repair products in accordance with product component maintenance manuals to meet regulations
Disassemble, clean, repair and test fire extinguisher products
Experience with using hand and power tools
Ability to navigate SAP with minimum help. Provide clear details when issues are encountered
Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources
Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department goal and objectives
Check work methods and results for conformance to standards
Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards
All aspects related to the process of repairs through the service center including receiving, inspection, cleaning, tear-down, documentation, repair, reassembly and packaging of parts for return to the customer
Frequent standing, sitting stooping
Occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching
1st Shift Hours: Monday-Friday; 7:00AM-3:30PM and work overtime, including weekends, as needed
Always comply with EH&S policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend EH&S trainings as required. Report unsafe practices and/or conditions to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards

Required

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred

Prior mechanical experience with 1-2 years complimentary work history
Prior welding experience
Ability to follow testing procedures and be proficient in performing the tasks
The ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail to ensure safety and quality
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean work area
The ability to work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning new software programs
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Good attendance record
