Responsibilities

Providing technical support for maintenance and operations
Designing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance production
Designing and troubleshooting mechanical components and systems
Performing mechanical analysis on various systems
Designing and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Writing mechanical specifications for projects
Creating and maintaining mechanical documentation
Managing capital projects
Seeking out and implementing process improvement projects across the production site

Qualification

Required

The ability and desire to work safely and provide guidance for an accident-free workplace
Bachelor's degree in a technical field and two years of relevant work experience, or five years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
Proficient in modeling, assembly, and detailing with SolidWorks, Inventor, or another 3D CAD software
Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes

Preferred

Experience identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements
Successfully led full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture, and implement)
Experience with machine design using electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
Experience in melting/casting operations, and/or rolling mill operations
Familiarity with Process Automation and Control technologies
Excellent computer skills
Ability to travel up to 10%
