Responsibilities

You will be providing legal advice as well as performing contract work and promoting the LEGO Group’s compliance agenda
You will work directly with business partners as well as internal colleagues within LCR
Advise on compliance with regulations and procedures to ensure the highest standards of consumer safety and protection are maintained
Support legal matters related to the operation of the LEGO branded venues and attractions operated by the LEGO Group in the US and Canada, ensuring all activities meet applicable legal requirements
Counsel on compliance with marketing regulations, including advertising, promotions, and communication strategies, with an emphasis on lawful engagement practices
Advise on data privacy matters to safeguard customer information and company operations
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and procurement agreements
Provide comprehensive legal guidance on a range of issues as they arise to ensure the company’s activities are conducted according to applicable laws

Required

Law School Degree (J.D., LL.M.)
Admission to bar of an appropriate jurisdiction
Proven legal experience from an in-house role at a global company or mid-level private practice position
Significant and broad experience with commercial and corporate law matters, including but not limited to contracts, marketing, regulatory, intellectual property, antitrust/competition law, data privacy and compliance matters
Experience negotiating a broad range of contracts including commercial and supply agreements
Great written and verbal communicator with strong legal drafting skills
Highly collaborative, with a curious mentality and a 'can do' approach
Ability to understand and learn the core business ambitions and strategies to be able to provide relevant legal advice and services
Strategically-and commercially-minded with a true partnering approach
Successful at embedding new processes into existing ways of working
