Test Engineer - Level 3

Responsibilities

Testing new capabilities, documenting new features, and analyzing simulation performance
Will work with product and development teams, as well as external users and customers, to determine acceptance criteria for new features
Support the modeling and simulation of missile defense systems
Support the agile software team within the context of a larger team
Support the development of simulation and software architecture
Interface with MDST customers and presenting technical briefings to MDST stakeholders
Research technical details related to various missile defense systems to better support model creation and enhancement

Required

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or a PhD and 1 year of related experience
Applicants must have an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level at the time of application, which is required to start
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
Familiarity with Agile software development practices
Understanding of software development and Linux platforms
Understanding of Eggplant implementation
Experience with both C++ and Java source code
Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GIT
Minimum 6 months' experience in modeling and simulation with MDST products and tools

Preferred

Knowledge/experience in SQL queries
Experience in agile software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience with large code base M&S systems using an optimistic and/or conservative discrete event simulation platform
Knowledge or experience in several of the following: missile defense domain knowledge, command and control, and modeling and simulation development
Experience steering processes toward a standardized testing plan
