Responsibilities

Provide engineering and integration support for programmable/configurable devices, substation network devices, and legacy electrical devices in electric substations and generation plants
Assist in the detailed design of multiple projects, supporting CAD design drawings produced by the I&C Division
Develop, test, and integrate intelligent electrical devices (IEDs), including programmable automation controllers, RTUs, protective relays, meters, transformer monitors/controllers, and other control devices
Support renewable energy projects (3-4 concurrent projects), ensuring electrical design and integration requirements are met
Work hands-on in a lab environment to prototype systems, set up tests, and connect/integrate devices
Collaborate with diverse teams, including mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers, to support successful project execution
Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and project teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and highly self-motivated
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word)

Preferred

Experience with programmable/configurable devices, such as RTUs, regulator, and recloser controls (desired)
Familiarity with IEC-61131 programming suite, DNP 3.0 protocol (serial and IP), and VB.NET or other high-level programming languages (desired)
Prior experience with generation plants, substations, or utilities is preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license not required
