ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM MANAGER 2 (RECORDS MANAGER)

NEOGOV is seeking an Administrative Program Manager 2 to serve as the Records Manager at the Port of New Orleans. This role will provide records management expertise and develop a customer-focused records management program that adheres to Louisiana Records Law and improves the efficiency of records processes across the organization.

Responsibilities

Leads and oversees comprehensive records management operations — including record creation, maintenance, retention, and disposition — ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and alignment with the Port’s strategic goals
Implements and manages enterprise electronic content management systems (Laserfiche) to improve efficiency, automate workflows, and enhance accessibility and security of records across departments
Serves as the Records Management Officer and Custodian of Records, liaising with the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office and legal counsel to ensure proper handling of records requests, litigation holds, and archival preservation

Required

Five years of experience in administrative services
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services
An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Demonstrated expertise in records and information management
Comprehensive understanding of records lifecycle processes, including retention, disposition, and archival preservation
Experience implementing electronic content management systems
Ability to interpret and apply state and federal records management regulations
Ability to excel in cross-departmental collaboration
Ability to conduct employee training
Ability to enhance process improvement initiatives
Commitment to public service, confidentiality, and the Port's mission
