Responsibilities
Assist in managing a workers’ compensation defense caseload under the guidance of senior attorneys
Work closely with a dedicated partner and legal team to support case preparation, file organization, and overall case management
Review medical records, claims files, and other case-related documents to help evaluate exposure and case strategy
Draft routine pleadings, correspondence, and basic discovery materials with supervision
Communicate with insurance carriers, adjusters, and internal team members to provide status updates and respond to requests
Track deadlines and ensure compliance with Georgia workers’ compensation rules and procedures
Support settlement preparation and resolution efforts, including organizing documentation and summaries
Maintain accurate and organized files while delivering a high level of client service
Qualification
Required
Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia, in good standing
Working knowledge of Georgia workers' compensation law and procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with appropriate supervision and training
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Client-focused and professional demeanor with the ability to build relationships with insurance carriers and claims professionals
Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented, with a willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative practice group
