Responsibilities
Design, execute, and deliver still and animated graphics within required deadlines
Work closely with digital editorial teams to meet deadlines and fulfill requests
Present creative solutions to editorial needs across all digital platforms
Create reported graphics that help further our reporting, as well as helping to build our styles and guidance for reported graphics
Storyboard and present conceptual designs to the art director, as well as editorial partners across the the site and all digital platforms
Collaborate with the art director and editors on daily visuals as well as long-term project initiatives
Qualification
Required
3+ years of relevant work experience in a creative group with a fast-paced production environment
Intermediate skillset in Adobe Creative Suite. (After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
Intermediate skillset in creating both animated and still frame graphics
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and deliver multiple assignments, with compelling creative solutions
Willingness to work extended hours due to breaking news events
Proficiency with Google Earth Studio, and 3D Map camera tracking within After Effects
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Must have a broad knowledge and curiosity about news, and a keen eye for spotting interesting and newsworthy visual content
A portfolio of relevant work is required for consideration
Capable of quick turnarounds, both animated and still design
