Responsibilities

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of ETL processes involving large-scale datasets

Architecting and integrating new datasets into existing data pipelines with a focus on spatial data

Optimizing and tuning data workflows in AWS for cost-efficiency and performance improvements

Creating automated monitoring systems for ongoing data pipeline health

Collaborating on code reviews and establishing best practices for data engineering within the team

Required

7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

Proven experience working with spatial/geospatial data (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial, BigQuery GIS)

Knowledge of data encryption, transformation, and cost-effective job optimization in cloud environments

Ability to troubleshoot data issues, improve processes, and implement best practices
