Responsibilities
Develop and prepare architectural layouts and construction drawings based on client requirements
Coordinate drawing sets prepared by Draftspersons to ensure alignment with project specifications
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and related software to produce accurate layouts, diagrams, and technical documents
Conduct research and consult technical manuals, building codes, and landlord requirements
Interpret and apply relevant state and local building codes to ensure design compliance
Prepare documentation for project approvals and assist in managing bidding processes
Maintain organized digital and physical records for all project-related documentation
Conduct on-site surveys when required
Collaborate directly with clients to clarify project requirements and resolve technical questions
Ensure adherence to architectural standards, guidelines, and quality expectations
Provide production and coordination support to the Project Manager for multiple ongoing projects
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience as an APM or Job Captain within an architectural firm
Strong ability to interpret construction data, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
Advanced proficiency in Revit and strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (3D capability preferred)
Basic proficiency in SketchUp, Photoshop, or Illustrator
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated experience in drafting retail or commercial construction documents
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong multitasking and time‑management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Preferred
Background in retail store or restaurant architecture
Experience working on interior‑focused projects
Portfolio or work sample submission is required with the resume
