Responsibilities
Our client is looking for someone who is working toward, or has, an accounting degree with a solid understanding of accrual and cash basis accounting, balance sheets, income statements, journal entries, general ledgers, trial balances, and chart of accounts
The position also requires an understanding of payroll processing and quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
QuickBooks proficiency and Excel skills will be needed to be a strong performer in this role, and our client is willing to train and mentor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting preferred
Will consider candidates who have not achieved Bachelor's degree but have made significant progress including all accounting courses
Proficiency in Excel
1 - 2+ years of accounting experience a plus
Understanding of accrual and cash basis accounting
Balance sheets, income statements, journal entries, general ledgers, trial balances, and chart of accounts
Payroll processing and tax filings
Attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
Excel skills
Preferred
QuickBooks on-line and desktop version proficiency but will train and mentor
