Pike Corporation is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst responsible for monitoring and administering payroll tax-related tasks. The role involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assisting in the preparation of necessary tax filings for a large number of associates and retirees.

Responsibilities

Assist in the oversight and validation of accurate and timely payroll tax returns for the Company and its subsidiary companies

Ensure compliance with company policy and statutory federal and state tax withholding, labor and payroll tax regulations

Responsible for analyzing, documenting, and implementing process improvements

Ability to research unique tax situations and provide resolutions

Initiate and promote continued process improvement to maximize customer service delivery and productivity through root cause analysis

Assist in the preparation and delivery of accurate W-2 forms, and other return filings

Support Quarter and Year end processing and provide management of all year-end related tasks to ensure successful delivery of W2’s to our employees

Processes wage and tax adjustments and prepare necessary W-2c corrections

Prepares other payroll tax-related reports and wage inquiries as required

Maintain Oracle tax tables with correct tax rates; manage testing and validation of all updates

Knowledgeable of federal, state and local tax reporting requirements to ensure compliance of payroll and support of mergers/acquisitions

Data Entry of W-4 Changes as submitted by employees

Assist with Audit Information request

Required

Minimum 2-year degree in Accounting/Business or other related field. Preference for 4-year degree

Minimum of 1-year functional experience in Payroll Tax

Strong working knowledge Payroll Tax regulations

Excellent analytical, team building and interpersonal skills

Detail oriented with expertise in written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

Preferred

Experience with HCM/Payroll and time and attendance systems

Experience with Oracle HCM/Payroll is preferred

Experience with ADP Smart Compliance is preferred
