Rosenberger North America is an innovative global leader in radio frequency and technology seeking a Tool Design Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering Team. The role involves developing, designing, and creating tools using CAD software, collaborating with various departments to optimize designs and ensuring projects meet quality expectations.

Responsibilities

Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create designs and drawings of new fixtures, tools and machine parts

Reads and understands technical documentation as required

Work closely with Machinist/Tool Maker to optimize designs based on machining capabilities

Provides continuous tooling knowledge to improve current designs or assembly processes

Analyzes product design for manufacturability and tooling capabilities

Collaborates with Engineering, Production and Quality

Participate in improvement of tool design best practices

Ensures projects are completed on time and meet quality expectations

Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized workspace

Travel <10% (travel to other locations, training, conferences, if necessary)

Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study

5+ years of experience in CAD Software preferred, Creo is a plus

Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint)

Strong knowledge of technical troubleshooting

Working understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Excellent organizational and teamwork skills

Ability to follow established policies and procedures

Striving for continuous improvement

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with multiple departments, particularly Management, Engineering, Production and Quality

Ability to lift up to 20lbs

Preferred

Hand-on Engineering experience is preferred

CAD: 4 years (Preferred)

Project/Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)

Mechanical design: 2 years (Preferred)
