Administrative Mentor Coordinator

New Vitae Inc is focused on providing quality behavioral health services, and they are seeking an Administrative Mentor Coordinator. The role involves supervising Recovery Center mentors, managing schedules, and ensuring that quality services are delivered to residents.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and group supervision to direct reports as assigned
Complete weekly schedule for mentors and communicate this with residential sites
Manage payroll bi-weekly and punch/time off requests
Ensure mentors are up to date on Relias training assignments
Assist with training newly hired mentors—documentation protocol, fire safety training assignment, orienting to mentoring work flow, etc
Manage employee call-outs as they arise
Provide disciplinary action/performance improvement plans as necessary with direct reports
Ensuring quality behavioral health services are provided daily by mentoring team, and arranges coverage needs as they arise
Complete annual evaluation for mentors overseen
Ensures direct reports use person first and recovery oriented language while displaying compassion, respect, flexibility, and hope to all individuals
Demonstrates appropriate use of boundaries while remaining empathetic and non-judgmental, and provides oversight to mentors to ensure the same
Consistently uses patience and persistence in helping to ensure daily behavioral health service is provided
Assists the team in gathering and providing relevant data to the multidisciplinary Treatment Team
Works with the multidisciplinary Treatment Team to review the client's history and assessments
Consistently provides oversight in observing and assessing residents for mood and behavior changes and ensuring direct reports communicate with appropriate team members in a timely fashion
Refers to clinical on call if residents are expressing thoughts of self-harm, self-injurious behavior, or harm to others after normal business hours
Assists in planning, attending, and/or assigning a mentor representative for team meetings as is relevant for residents
Assisting with development of specific interventions related to individual recovery goals
Ensures direct reports are documenting to the treatment plan to provide progress updates regularly
Routinely meets with residents and direct reports to ensure interventions are well-received
Evaluates scheduling adjustments and needs for improvement with service provision
Participates in an on-call supervisory rotation on weekends as assigned
Recognizes potential and/or emergency situations and intervenes appropriately
Assists with ensuring both direct reports and residents remain in a safe environment
Refers to therapist or clinical on call if any resident is experiencing suicidal ideation, self-injurious behavior, or homicidal ideation
Completes all mandatory training sessions at orientation and annually thereafter
In addition, attends an additional 12hours of training annually
Attends and co-facilitates bi-weekly staff meeting and all other meetings, as assigned
Maintains confidentiality of information related to the individuals served
Interacts in a respectful manner with individuals served, coworkers and visitors
Abides by all New Vitae Policies and Procedures

Required

High school diploma with at least two years of experience in a behavioral health setting
A minimum of two (2) years of paid professional experience in a behavioral health setting
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary structure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of mental health population to understand appropriate range of needed treatment interventions
Ability to establish a working relationship with a diverse population of consumers
Supervisory experience
Utilizes a teamwork style
Maintains a positive attitude in working with others
Has the emotional maturity to withstand the stresses of this position
Is self assured
Maintains an appropriate appearance
Able to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time
Able to hear ordinary conversation and phone communications
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
Literate
Able to operate common office equipment, including a computer

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in human services field
A minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in a behavioral health setting
A minimum of (1) or more years of supervisory experience
