Java Developer - Wealth & Asset Management

Responsibilities
Implement best practices, tools, metrics, and automation frameworks to achieve consistent, predictable, high-quality delivery
Provide oversight in the areas of software development and testing
Deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment
Support key stakeholders across the Wealth & Advice Solutions organization
Work with a team of technologists to make technology a strategic differentiator for Schwab’s Wealth & Advice Solutions business and their clients
Ensure the support strategy guidelines are followed and new systems or projects meet the Production standards
Update knowledge repository and ensure information regarding support-related activities or issues are accessible
Service all requests for data or other activities that require access to Production systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 3+ years experience coding in Java, building REST and/or SOAP based APIs using Spring boot
Minimum 2 years experience working with SQL performing DML operations using Java Spring boot
Minimum 2 years experience utilizing Spring Batch to perform data ingestion, transformation and integrations
Minimum 2 years experience writing automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests for back-end services, Messaging queues, data interfaces and data pipelines
Preferred
Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M
Experience with developments tools such as - JMeter, GitHub, Harness, Launch Darkly, and mabl
Experience with RabbitMQ and Postgresql database
Experience with cloud technologies such as PCF (on-prem) and GCP / AWS (public)
Experience with Data Catalog tools like Collibra, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog and Informatica Data Quality
Work with development teams at the appropriate stages to ensure the support strategy guidelines are followed and new systems or projects meet the Production standards
Constantly update knowledge repository, ensure information regarding any support related activities or issues are available and easily accessible
Responsible for servicing all requests for data or other activities that require access to Production systems
Wealth Management and/or Financial Services industry experience
