IT Support Specialist (Helpdesk)

The IT Support Specialist will maintain the efficient operation of the computer network and deliver prompt technical support, collaborating with a third-party IT services provider.

Responsibilities
Configures new users on the network and provides access to appropriate software
Installs print queues, network printers, and menu options and changes
Manages inventory of computer equipment
Installs all software updates and maintains hardware in good working order
Performs minor repairs to equipment and maintains backup systems
Designs and establishes disaster recovery procedures to ensure retrieval of all data and system software
Oversees database administration to ensure data integrity
Assists staff with computer and printer problems (hardware and software)
Works with consultants as necessary
Researches, evaluates, analyzes, and makes recommendations to management on hardware and software needs of the firm
Assists clients with computer installations as assigned by partners
Lifts and moves computer hardware from one location to another within the office
Prepares, directs, and controls a computer budget
Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOP's) for IT support and network operations
Trains staff on software
Orders computer supplies
Keeps all support agreements current
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least two years' experience as a network administrator of a computer system with a minimum of 10 users
Demonstrated experience in helpdesk support, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for end users
Possesses a bachelor's degree in accounting, computer science, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
Ability to use all general office equipment including a computer
