They are seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer for the North Anna Power Station's Rapids Response department, responsible for design, evaluation, repair, and construction of Electrical and Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
Design, evaluation, repair, and construction of Electrical systems
Knowledge of the performance requirements of motors, relays, breakers, and other components in low and medium voltage systems
Mechanical systems with knowledge of pump types and principles, pump requirements and pump operation and curves
Development and overseeing implementation of specifications and engineering changes
Review functional test requirements for equipment installation
Development and review of engineering technical evaluations supporting plant operation
Reviewing design implementation work orders and providing input to drawing updates in support of design development
Qualification
Required
2-5 years of experience for Engineer; 5-7 years of experience for Senior Engineer; 8+ years of experience for Staff Engineer
Developmental experience in a professional engineering position
Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives
Understanding and ability to apply knowledge of configuration management
Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Matlab, Excel, etc.)
Planning, organizational and project management skills
Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills
Effective decision making skills
Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)
Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices
Equally effective working independently or in a team environment
Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks
Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program
Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord
Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited
Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license
Bachelor's in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical
Related experience which shall include 2 years; Nuclear power plant experience to include 1 year
