Surety Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

Integrate cross-program safety disciplines into the architecture, requirements, and design of the next-generation Sea-Based Strategic Deterrence such that Surety is integral to the overall system
Oversee the implementation of Safety into the design and build across disciplines, ensuring no Safety escapes across the system
Ensure adherence to Nuclear Safety, Range Safety, and Personnel Safety requirements and best practices, and oversee the verification and test campaign to show compliance
Ensure integration of Surety products such as Hazard Analyses, Fault Tree Analyses, and similar products to ensure full Surety coverage across the system throughout the entire lifecycle
Ensure integration of multiple program disciplines to understand complex issues and develop a Nuclear Missile Surety that ensures the integrity of the Nuclear Surety Philosophy
Support Operational Safety Studies (OSRs) and Special Safety Studies (SSS)
Ensure integration of safety disciplines into cross branch problem investigations, coordinating with Navy partners and SPP Headquarters
Generate & Review Project material for Support Equipment and Missile Alterations Projects
Facilitate interaction among program safety stakeholders, including facility, material, explosive, range safety disciplines

Preferred

Experience with DoD missile systems
Experience working to MIL-STD-882E
Experience coordinating with multiple engineering functions (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
Active DoD security clearance
