Responsibilities

Lead the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of mid-level donors, major donors ($10,000+) and planned giving prospects, ensuring personalized engagement strategies
Develop and execute tailored cultivation plans that align donor interests with organizational priorities, moving prospects through the giving pipeline toward significant and sustained commitments
Identify, research, and qualify new major gift and planned giving prospects, building a robust pipeline of potential supporters
Maintain comprehensive donor profiles and giving histories to inform strategy and track progress
Leverage data and analytics to prioritize outreach efforts, measure impact, and refine cultivation strategies
Travel to meet with donors and prospects in support of meeting development and stewardship goals
In collaboration with the Director, build relationships with corporate partners to cultivate major corporate gifts and grants
Design and implement planned giving strategies to grow legacy contributions, positioning the Foundation as a trusted partner in donors’ philanthropic and estate planning
Engage and steward legacy donors through personalized outreach, recognition, and ongoing relationship management
Promote planned giving opportunities through targeted marketing, donor education, and outreach initiatives that inspire long-term investment in the Foundation’s mission
Participate in annual budget, strategic planning and forecasting process
Collaborate with Marketing and the Development Specialist as needed to create compelling donor materials in support of fundraising efforts
Monitor fundraising performance metrics and adjust strategies and tactics as needed
Develop, prepare, and deliver presentations to the Board, members and donors

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, non-profit management or related field. Equivalent combination of education and work experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree
Minimum of 6 years of experience in major gift fundraising, prospect research and donor cultivation
Experience with legacy and planned giving strategies and an understanding of estate planning tools and charitable giving vehicles
Strong communication, relationship-building, and project management skills
Strategic thinking and goal orientation
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with donor management systems
Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite
Good judgment and discretion with confidential information
Ability to demonstrate and hold others accountable for organizational values of: Innovation, Communication, Quality, Diversity, Equity and inclusion, and Achievement

Preferred

Previous experience presenting to Boards, members, and donors in a professional setting
Previous experience managing or contributing to the annual budgeting process
Previous experience working within the healthcare or medical industry
