Associate Researcher

Integration International Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate – Formulation Scientist to join their Pharmaceutical Research Sciences team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This role will focus on the formulation and characterization of injectable drug products to support preclinical research and development activities.

Responsibilities

Prepare peptide and protein injectable formulations for in vitro and in vivo (animal) studies, including selection of appropriate buffers, excipients, and surfactants
Perform biophysical characterization and stability studies to support formulation development
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to ensure selected dosage forms meet defined biophysical and biochemical profiles
Contribute to early formulation screening strategies and experimental execution
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments used for biophysical and analytical characterization
Accurately document experimental work using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) and manage formulation-related requests and workflows
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues quickly and support project timelines
Conduct laboratory work safely and in compliance with established safety procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree required; degree in biological, biochemical, pharmacological, or related sciences preferred
Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience in pharmaceutical or biotech research
Hands-on experience preparing injectable formulations, particularly for preclinical or animal studies
Strong knowledge of injectable formulation development and biophysical characterization
Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and drawing scientific conclusions
Experience working collaboratively on cross-functional project teams
Excellent scientific communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and documentation practices

Preferred

Experience with biophysical techniques such as spectroscopy, calorimetry, and light scattering
Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and pharmaceutical regulatory environments
Experience managing multiple formulation requests or projects concurrently
