ANDERSON HOSPITAL is seeking a Senior Decision Support Analyst to develop, administer, and monitor the System’s budgeting and cost accounting processes. The role involves performing financial analysis, assisting with annual budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Assists with the development of annual budgets for all System entities

Performs monthly budget analytics

Assists with the production of an annual product line analysis for Anderson Hospital and Staunton Hospital

Prepares financial analysis for the purpose of short and long term planning

Assists with the coordination of annual cost reporting

Becomes familiar with, and assists with, Critical Access based cost reporting and reimbursement mechanisms

Assists with the preparation of monthly contractual calculations and related journal entries for all entities

Posts monthly statistics to the GL for all System entities

Coordinates with the Director of Managed Care to ensure the System is maximizing reimbursement opportunities

Assists with the preparation of monthly financial statements for the Anderson/Mercy Cancer Center

Identifies process improvements to generate efficiencies in budgeting, cost accounting and decision support functions and improves the quality of these processes

Assists in determining methods to reduce entity operation costs and increase revenues based on market trends, financial reporting and industry operating procedures

Assists with payroll processing

Assists with the Annual Audit

Assists with the completion of the Annual Community Benefits report

Performs related duties, assists others as needed, and performs special projects as assigned
