Responsibilities
Create, issue, and track purchase orders for materials and subcontracted services; ensure accurate order details and timely confirmations
Maintain vendor relationships: solicit quotes, confirm lead times, monitor deliveries, and follow up on discrepancies
Manage inventory records and assist with stock level monitoring to prevent shortages or overstock situations
Reconcile invoices and POs with accounting data; coordinate with finance to resolve billing issues and support month-end close
Maintain procurement documentation and vendor files in the company’s systems; ensure data accuracy for audits and reporting
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to prioritize urgent orders and support material logistics for active job sites
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement supporting construction, roofing, or building-supply operations
Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for PO creation, invoice reconciliation, and basic reporting
Hands-on experience issuing Purchase Orders and managing vendor communications and deliveries
Familiarity with construction materials, supplier networks, and inventory control practices
Preferred
Experience with NetSuite, other ERP systems, or procurement platforms
Knowledge of vendor contract terms, basic price negotiation, or supplier performance tracking
