Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for design of analog and power conversion circuits for Electronic Warfare & Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) products & subsystems
Candidate should also have some familiarity with design of FPGA-based systems and some familiarity with microcontroller-based designs
The candidate will be performing electrical design, electrical design analysis, implementing design solutions, performing simulations, and performing analysis and testing of associated hardware in a laboratory setting
Candidate will be responsible for multiple power supply module designs and projects
Candidate will generate related requirements documents and testing requirements
He/she will be familiar with the latest technology trends in DC/DC and multiphase AC/DC power conversion, switching power supply topologies, control loop design and stability analysis, high voltage component specification and selection, and general mixed signal circuit design and analysis
The candidate may work as individual contributor or in a cross-discipline product development team environment with electrical, mechanical, and system engineers
This position may require occasional business-related travel

Required

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in power conversion design and testing, mixed signal design, and digital design, or a related Master's degree
Experience with power system design tools (SPICE, schematic/layout design software, Matlab, ADS, Hyperlynx PI as examples)
Experience with schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronics
Hands-on experience testing electronic products using bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, power supply stability testers, spectrum analyzers, and debugging tools
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Experience designing airborne electronic products with attendant size, weight, power, and cost requirements
Electrical design and analysis with Mentor Graphics XPedition and HyperLynx PI, SPICE
Experience with design of CCAs with power conversion integrated circuits including high voltage/high current transformers, inductors, and FETs, as well as supporting analog circuits
Experience with switched-mode power supply design and modeling
Experience with RF components or specifications and creating POL supplies for RF circuitry
Skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as good written/verbal communication skills
