Military Manager Student Finance Processing

They are seeking an experienced Manager, Student Finance Processing to lead a team responsible for non-Title IV student finance operations, ensuring accurate financial processing and continuous improvement of service delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a Student Finance Processing team (3-4 direct reports) responsible for invoicing, certification, billing, payment posting, reporting, and account management related to non-Title IV financial aid
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of non-Title IV student finance issues
Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members while ensuring appropriate staffing and coverage
Evaluate existing operational and customer service processes and recommend improvements to enhance the student experience
Develop schedules, workflows, and coverage models to meet service-level expectations
Provide leadership reporting, tracking, and outcome assessments to management
Ensure team members have the tools, training, and resources needed to collaborate effectively across finance, academic, and compliance functions
Maintain deep knowledge of non-Title IV student finance programs, policies, and federal/state regulations
Identify, document, and share best practices to drive consistency and continuous improvement
Prepare and present reports, metrics, and special projects to leadership as needed
Foster a culture of accountability, care, and service excellence aligned with organizational values
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
4+ years of combined professional experience, including prior people management experience
Direct experience with non-Title IV student finance required
Strong working knowledge of federal and state financial aid rules and regulations
Experience in a service-oriented environment supporting internal and external customers
Proven ability to present to and communicate with senior leadership
Strong project management skills with the ability to set deadlines and drive completion
Exceptional leadership, critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial aid systems
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Experience with budget preparation, financial modeling, or accounting management
Background in higher education, military education benefits, or complex financial aid environments
