US Warehouse Manager
Major Drilling is one of the world’s largest and most successful drilling companies, seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Manager at their Salt Lake City location. The role involves managing the full procurement cycle, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating with various teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Manage the full procurement cycle, including purchase requests, sourcing, vendor selection, and order placement
Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including parts creation, location setup, and cycle counts
Update supplier information and monitor cost changes for inventory items
Obtain competitive quotations from a minimum of three vendors to ensure best pricing and value
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to support cost savings and operational efficiency
Monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with quality, service, and delivery expectations
Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams to ensure alignment of priorities and budgets
Develop and manage consignment stock and vendor-managed inventory programs to reduce downtime and improve availability of critical materials
Track and analyze procurement spend, identify cost reduction opportunities, and generate regular performance reports
Establish, review, and maintain minimum/maximum stock levels to support operational efficiency
Oversee rod transfers, reconciliation, and write-offs for obsolete inventory (approx. $50K monthly)
Collaborate with field teams to fulfill orders and resolve purchasing or warehouse-related inquiries
Conduct yard counts and assist with trailer loading, shipping, and organizing inventory
Process inventory charges and manage special vendor orders
Assemble wedge packages and ensure proper documentation for customs clearance and international shipments
Research HTS codes for imported items and coordinate with transport for global logistics
Support shop and operations teams during mobilization/demobilization and critical job needs
Train new employees and perform other duties as assigned
Tracking on increases related to tariffs, availability and inflation
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required, additional education a plus
5+ years of warehouse/inventory management experience
Proficiency in IFS or Oracle inventory systems
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to operate with urgency and solve problems quickly to support field operations
Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations
Preferred
Experience in mining, drilling, or a related industry preferred
