Responsibilities
Supervises the front desk area
Processes class registration
Processes membership cards and fees
Operates cash register, opening, close-out, etc
Assists with the preparation of financial and attendance reports
Answers telephone
Responds to inquiries for information or assistance
Interprets and explains rules and regulations; reports violations
Staffs special events as required
Performs related work as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Two years experience working in a customer service-oriented position
Knowledge of public service practices
Knowledge of building operation procedures
Knowledge of basic computer operation
Ability to maintain cash and reports
Ability to interpret rules and regulations and apply to situations
Ability to operate basic computer software
Ability to deal effectively with the public
Ability to operate registration software
Subject to background investigation if employed in the Department of Parks and Recreation
Required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Preferred
First Aid and CPR certificates preferred
