Responsibilities

Support the ISSM by working with the system ISSO to complete the security controls, provide artifacts, review the plans, create POAMs and help with using the GRC

Support the review of cloud ATO packages including security control responses, system architecture, vulnerability and configuration scans, image scans and test plans

Test the controls, review the scans and create any authorization docs (ECs)

Develop and oversee the implementation of information security procedures and policies

Build, maintain and upgrade security technology, such as firewalls, for the safe use of computer networks and the transmission and retrieval of information

Design and implement appropriate security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect digital files and electronic infrastructures

Monitor and respond to computer security breaches, viruses, and intrusions

May oversee the assessment of information security systems
