Start in 2026 SummerNEOGOV is seeking an Environmental Services Summer Intern to assist with various environmental programs. The role involves fieldwork, public involvement, and preparing jurisdictional determinations while gaining exposure to environmental compliance and permitting processes.

Responsibilities
General exposure to all environmental programs including NEPA, Permitting, Compliance, Public Involvement and Design Build
Fieldwork: works with staff conducting wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species act surveys, and archaeological investigations
Public Involvement: assists NEPA Coordinators in conducting public meetings, set up meetings, run sign in desk, etc
Prepares a USACE jurisdictional determination
Visits and assists staff in monitoring stream mitigation
Digitizes archaeological surveys using GIS for incorporation into the state’s Cultural Resource Information System (Archsite)
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence
Applicants must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university program in Environmental Science, Biology or related field
