Bookkeeper
Zephyr Business Group is a growing, boutique professional services firm that delivers bookkeeping and fractional CFO services. They are seeking a Bookkeeper who will maintain accurate financial records, communicate effectively with clients, and contribute to improving workflows as the firm grows.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and timely financial records for multiple clients
Categorize transactions throughout the month to stay up to date on month end close
Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards on a monthly basis
Prepare and post journal entries as needed (accruals, reclasses, adjustments)
Perform month-end close and preparation of basic financial reports to send to our clients
Ensure records are clean, well-documented, and audit-ready
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding questions or missing information
Flag issues, discrepancies, or concerns proactively
Work closely with teammates to meet deadlines and support shared priorities
Assist with ad-hoc tasks or projects when the team needs help
Work primarily in QuickBooks Online; NetSuite experience is a plus but not required
Contribute to improving workflows and systems as Zephyr grows. Your input will help shape how we operate
Be open to feedback and process changes as the company evolves
Qualification
Required
1–5 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience
Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and GAAP basics, with at least a fluent understanding of the chart of accounts, journal entries, and financial statements
Experience with QuickBooks Online required
Comfortable and efficient working with multiple clients and deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organization; precision and accuracy are key in this role
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable taking a technical assessment during the interview process
Fluency with arithmetic and quantitative reasoning is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required if experience is strong
