Responsibilities
Understand Design and Functional Specifications for and write Test specifications for the Analytics Pipeline Applications
Develop, enhance and integrate automated tests into release/build frameworks
Develop test suites for complex UI and customer scenarios
Analyze, evaluate and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve solutions to complex problems
Work closely with developers, product managers, UI designers to ensure completeness of test cases, bug fixing and increase code coverage
Participate in defect and issue resolution process
Participate in reviews of other development document deliverable such as requirements, functional designs, technical designs, functional test specifications
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc
Assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems
Provide technical leadership to other software developers
Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background in designing and implementing complex QA infrastructure components and automations
Solid computer science background
Strong coding and design skills for developing and testing enterprise grade software
Proven track record of delivering strong results in similar projects as QA engineer in product development organizations
Ability to understand Design and Functional Specifications and write Test specifications for the Analytics Pipeline Applications
Experience in developing, enhancing and integrating automated tests into release/build frameworks
Experience in developing test suites for complex UI and customer scenarios
Ability to analyze, evaluate and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve solutions to complex problems
Experience working closely with developers, product managers, UI designers to ensure completeness of test cases, bug fixing and increase code coverage
Participation in defect and issue resolution process
Participation in reviews of other development document deliverables such as requirements, functional designs, technical designs, functional test specifications
Experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc
Ability to provide technical leadership to other software developers
Specification, design and implementation of modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs
Full competence in own area of expertise
Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment

B.S/M.S in CS or equivalent from reputed universities with consistently good academic record with 7+ years of experience in Software development preferable - Test and Tool Automation
Functional expertise in Business Intelligence will be a Plus
Automation experience in Java, Python, Scripting, Selenium, Jenkins etc
Familiarity with core cloud computing concepts such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, private clouds
Basic understanding of cloud services such as compute, storage, networking
Basic scripting skills in at least one scripting language (i.e. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automating cloud tasks
Exposure to SQL and worked on Oracle DB and other Oracle Products
Experience with Unix and Windows Server platform
Strong automated white box testing experience for multi-tier application
Experience working with distributed team – development, UX, PM and QA
Strong QA experience of creating Test Specs using multiple documents, automating, executing and reporting results
Great debugging skills, self-starter
Experience with Java, Python, Scala
Experience developing automation test frameworks
Knowledge of Relational and Multidimensional Databases
Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
Development experience in or a strong understanding of Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, JDBC, and EJB) and other web development skills
Understanding of Development Tools (Code Coverage integration background ideal)
Experience with Junit/ Jprobe/ JFCUnit and other white box testing tools
