Senior Ordnance Assessment Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Ordnance Assessment Engineer to lead and support testing and analysis efforts for a surveillance and shelf-life assessment program, focusing on product safety, quality, and reliability.

Responsibilities
Performing missile-level accelerated aging (environmental exposure)
Executing missile and lower-level teardown inspections
Developing energetic item accelerated aging and test plans
Coordinating accelerated aging and testing of energetic and mechanical components at the manufacturer’s facilities or other designated test facilities
Developing assessment reports and presenting results at customer reviews
Reviewing and approving the accuracy, quality and scope of the OA team’s work products
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with weapons inspections, hardware testing, and/or hardware integration
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Experience with weapons loading in accordance with Military specifications and standards
Experience with root cause or failure analysis
Experience with statistical analysis techniques
Experience with project management, including developing and executing project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and performance standards
Understanding of environmental effects on hardware and application of technical theories and concepts in relation to the operation of aging
Ability to take an analytical approach and utilize technical knowledge to solve challenges
