QA Technician

Responsibilities

Complete receiving inspection, initial sample inspection reports (ISIR), and outgoing final audits
Perform gage calibration
Ensure containment of rejected items, investigate rejected product returned from customer, create corrective action reports
Create and issue quality alerts to the production line
Create and update in process control forms (ICP)
Perform capability studies on manufacturing floor by measuring critical dimensions on component(s) / subassembly(s), input data in CpK software and analyze
Analyze manufacturing or product problems and make recommendations for corrective action based on the analysis

Required

A minimum of a High School Diploma
3-5 years' experience in the field or in a related area
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Have familiarity with common office computer software such as Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word
Will have good verbal and written communication skills
Be able to read and understand technical drawings and documents such as blueprints, bills of material, and production routings
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and visual measuring equipment such as optical comparators, microscopes or Micro-Vu optical measuring equipment
Must demonstrate understanding of basic math skills
Ability in calibrations techniques for inspection gages or demonstrate the aptitude in learning to perform this function within the company including the maintenance of the gage calibration software database
Understanding of Quality Standard such as ISO 9001 or similar principles
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures that pertain to a Quality Assurance Lab
Able to create instructions and guidelines to perform the functions of the job

Preferred

An associate's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
CMM experience is highly desired
An understanding of manufacturing statistics is preferred
