The Civil Project Engineer will lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and collaborating with clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage assigned civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations
Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, and calculations for projects involving roadways, drainage systems, grading, utilities, site development, and other civil infrastructure elements
Conduct site assessments, analyze survey data, perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and prepare detailed engineering reports
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, obtain necessary permits and approvals
Work effectively with clients to understand project requirements, develop solutions, and address concerns
Work collaboratively with internal project teams including designers, drafters, and other engineers. Mentor junior staff as needed
Develop accurate project cost estimates and contribute to budget management

Required

Possess a current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer with demonstrated project experience in a design firm setting
Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, StormCAD, HydroCAD), and relevant engineering design software
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design standards, construction practices, and local regulations
