The Take is a leading YouTube channel and media brand focused on film, television, and culture. They are seeking a Social Media Manager to create short-form content, engage with audiences, and maintain the brand's voice across various platforms.

Responsibilities
Write, record and edit short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook
Adapt long-form videos into platform-native clips without losing analytical clarity
Create image-based posts for Instagram that extend The Take’s ideas
Post consistently and efficiently across platforms
Manage and post to the YouTube Community tab
Respond to comments thoughtfully and responsibly, representing The Take’s voice
Track short-form performance and engagement metrics
Identify patterns in what drives reach and interaction
Collaborate with video and growth teams on launches and testing
Stay current on platform trends and formats
Qualification
Required
Strong short-form storytelling and pacing instincts
Clear writing voice adaptable to different platforms
Comfort recording on camera or voiceover when needed
Efficient short-form video editing skills
Ability to communicate The Take's analytical sensibility in accessible ways
Intelligent, creative and socially perceptive judgment
High comfort using AI tools to streamline scripting, editing and analysis
Organized, enthusiastic, mature and responsible
Preferred
Experience running social for a media brand or creator
Familiarity with analytics across short-form platforms
Interest in film, TV and online culture
Basic graphic or motion skills
