Responsibilities
Manages end-to-end payroll tax compliance and reporting
Advises on payroll tax regulations and updates
Reviews and approves payroll tax filings and payments
Coordinates with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to resolve payroll tax discrepancies
Prepares and submits payroll tax reports for management review
Responds to internal and external payroll tax audits
Implements process improvements to enhance payroll tax efficiency
Maintains confidentiality and security of payroll tax data
Supports transition and training for incoming payroll tax leadership
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Three (3) or more years of payroll tax experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Two (2) or more years of experience in a consulting or advisory role
Experience with multi-state payroll tax compliance
Experience providing payroll tax services in a contract or consulting environment
CPA
Proficiency in payroll tax software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG)
