Administrative Assistant
The City of Portland is currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant. This position provides courteous, professional customer service and administrative support to multiple City departments, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with City policies.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Serving as the receptionist for all departments located in the City Annex building
Providing general clerical and administrative support, including purchasing-related functions, for the Development Services Department
Serving as back-up support for the Development Services Permit Technician
Delivering effective administrative services
Maintaining positive customer relations
Ensuring compliance with City policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
Assisting with process improvements
Greeting and assisting City Annex visitors
Helping customers and staff across departments obtain needed information
Qualification
Required
High school or equivalent required
At least one year of related experience required
Ability to effectively communicate with others, oral and written
