Responsibilities
Evaluate and report the system-level impact of part or subsystem changes on overall elevator system envelopes
Develop and analyze dimensional studies, including 3D models, performance studies, cost-benefit analyses, prototypes, and test plans
Perform code and regulatory requirement assessments for affected subsystems
Collect and manage system requirements from multiple stakeholders and decompose them into detailed subsystem-level requirements
Interface with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Field Operations, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Factory Support
Participate in product support activities, including:
Root cause analysis
Priority assessment
DFMEA
Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
Support and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) following established engineering change processes
Ensure accurate and complete design documentation throughout the product lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required) with 6+ years of experience
Strong background in mechanical engineering design and system modeling
Experience with complex system-level integration
Development of performance envelopes / duty tables
Creation of 2D layouts and studies (AutoCAD or similar tools)
Advanced 3D modeling skills with the ability to analyze interfaces and interferences
Experience with engineering change implementation processes
Root cause analysis and DFMEA
Requirements management with internal teams and stakeholders
Strong communication and leadership skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
Familiarity with Mathcad for design documentation
Previous elevator industry experience strongly preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) with 4+ years of experience
