The University of Pennsylvania's Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics is seeking a Research Associate to perform laboratory research in human viral infections and immunology. The role includes training graduate students, leading lab-wide projects, and overseeing lab organization and activities.

Responsibilities

Performing laboratory research on human viral infections, long COVID, and antigen-specific T cell responses during human vaccination, infection, cancer and autoimmunity
Training graduate students and new postdoctoral fellows in the models used in the lab
Leading team science for key lab-wide experiments and projects
Providing guidance to our lab manager on overall lab organization
Overseeing selected lab training and group meetings (such as our skills sessions and/or career development panels)
Help supervise laboratory technicians, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in an academic setting
Coordinate team science
Help develop lab programmatic activities

Required

Expertise is required in the specific area of high-dimensional cytometry

Expertise is required in human immunology
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree
