Senior Electrical Production Engineer

Responsibilities

Works closely with the operations team leveraging their problem solving skills and technical expertise
Elevates and appropriately applies knowledge of the plant and technology referencing historical data and conferring with Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs)
Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized and that process automation is used as a tool to optimize plant performance
Partners with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline
Responds urgently to plant issues and emergencies
Acts as a technical expert during unplanned events and drives implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Understands site integration and provides input to optimize the overall system
Provides long term capital project development and planning oversight for our large power grid (2.4-345kV, 1+GW)
Collaboration with the Energy Improvement Director and Energy Tech Center for identifying, documenting, and communicating Electrical Distribution Gaps
Interface with all on site third party I-Park tenants and our external power transmission operator and QS
Provide front end Manufacturing Rep support for large electrical projects
Facilitate site Power Systems Review Team and Plant Improvement Team
Support overall technical development of our TXO Power Distribution Team

Required

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Prior experience in a power distribution role
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% annually and meet all applicable requirements related to business travel (e.g., as to immigration and visa rules, public-health mandates, airline rules, etc.) into and out of (and physical presence in) various countries world wide
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred

A minimum of 10 years in HV Electrical Engineering disciplines is preferred
Professional Engineers License is preferred
