Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and advise government executive leadership with rapid-turnaround communications and materials
Synthesize information from multiple sources to create cohesive, well-structured documents for executive review and distribution
Develop, organize, write and edit issue papers, white papers, talking points, and executive briefs for a variety of audiences, including congressional stakeholders
Manage and track incoming taskers, ensuring timely research, compilation, and high-quality responses and deliverables
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to gather and interpret technical and program information for documentation purposes
Review and edit documents to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to style guides
Validate documentation to confirm accuracy and usability
Update and maintain existing documentation as programs evolve, ensuring all materials remain current and relevant
Establish, organize, and maintain an information repository to enable efficient retrieval of documents and institutional knowledge

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
5 years of related experience
Active US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) clearance
Understanding and knowledge of CBP programs such as Biometric Entry-Exit, Non-Intrusive Inspection, and Land Border Integration
Demonstrated experience in policy writing, including preparing talking points and briefing materials for Congress or similar high-level audiences
Ability to explain complex technology and policy issues in clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences
Proven professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion in working with sensitive information and executive-level stakeholders
Must have ability to be on client site five days a week, which includes Washington, DC and Ashburn, VA

Preferred

The flexibility to travel up to approximately 30% is preferred for roles within the federal practice
The flexibility to travel up to approximately 80% is preferred within the state, local and education practice
