Landscape Specialists
Rizzetta & Company is seeking a Landscape Specialist to assist with the management of day-to-day field operations of District-owned properties. The role involves overseeing landscape and irrigation maintenance contracts, conducting site visits, and preparing bid proposals.

Responsibilities
Conduct site visits for all District-owned properties as requested by the District Manager
Assist District Manager in overseeing the daily field operations of landscape & irrigation maintenance contracts
Provide written Field Services Report to the District Manager
Attend Board of Supervisor and Vendor meetings, if requested, by the District Manager on an as needed basis. Some meetings occur in the evenings and will require some public speaking
Develop bid specs, advertise maintenance/construction projects, conduct pre-bid meetings, and bid openings, and advise respective Boards on bid selection process
Review financial and operating information, as appropriate
Coordinate and develop periodic financial and/or operating analyses to assist with annual budgeting upon request by the District Manager
Perform and assist with miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the landscape/irrigation field
Knowledge of plants and landscape maintenance
Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to coordinate/manage multiple projects at the same time
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and clients at all levels
Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people
Demonstrate leadership in maintaining high standards of professional behavior for self and staff
Demonstrate organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, creative, and independent thinking
Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's philosophy of high quality, professionalism, and culture
Preferred
Associate degree
Certifications in Turf Management, Agronomics, Landscaping, Horticulture, or Arboriculture are preferred
Knowledge of landscaping or horticulture industry is preferred
