Electrical Engineer Intermediate
Enbridge is seeking an accomplished Electrical Engineer with a solid foundation in electrical power engineering and hands-on experience in operations, maintenance, and reliability. In this pivotal role, you will support GTM operations and regional technical teams by delivering expert guidance across a wide range of electrical systems while gaining opportunities to grow into leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Deliver engineering support for electrical power systems including but not limited to design, on site and virtual troubleshooting, reliability, and maintenance
Perform analysis and design review for all aspects of electrical systems including low and medium voltage power distribution equipment, low and medium-voltage motors, low and medium voltage adjustable speed drives, high voltage substations, and low and medium voltage standby generation, and UPS/battery systems
Interpret all types of electrical drawings; support the development of, review, and ensure compliance with electrical power systems studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection and coordination, harmonics, transient analysis, area classification, motor starting, grounding, etc
Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for electrical incidents and equipment failures
Apply working-level knowledge of codes and regulatory standards (e.g., NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, API RP 500/500, API 541/546, various IEEE standards, etc.)
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to improve reliability and operational performance
Assist in the development of internal standards and specifications
Perform research and technical analyses; and generate various reports, presentations, recommendations, and advisories in support of operational issue resolution, investigations and RCFA’s, policy and standards development, new technology approaches/adoption, and for improvements in electrical related facilities design and installation practices
Qualification
Required
10-15 years of experience in electrical engineering within oil & gas energy infrastructure along with a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
Show an electrical engineering background with practical operational maintenance experience
Offer a strong safety ethic and ability to work in field environments while showcasing excellent problem solving and communication skills
Proficient in operation and maintenance of low and medium voltage motors and drives
Proficient in substation design and operation
Proficient in electrical protective relay programming and troubleshooting

Generalist mentality with ability to handle diverse electrical challenges
Experience with RCFA and reliability improvement initiatives
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and electrical safety programs
Participated in development of technical standards and/or specifications
