Responsibilities
Assist with roadway, bridge, and traffic design projects
Support land/site civil development including stormwater management, grading, water/wastewater systems, and permitting
Contribute to architectural and engineering projects involving municipal, federal, and private sector clients
Prepare calculations, reports, design documents, and construction details/specifications
Use computer-assisted engineering tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, etc.) to support project design tasks
Collect, organize, and prepare data for engineering evaluation
Assist in construction observation, documentation, and compliance with specifications
Provide general project support including drafting, computations, and quality review/proofing
Qualification
Required
Students pursuing a BS degree from an ABET accredited engineering program
Eagerness to learn multidisciplinary engineering with exposure to transportation, land/site, and A&E projects
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of systems and software to include AutoCAD, ArcGIS, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), MicroStation, InRoads, KYPipe, SWMM, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, EPANET, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Office
