Responsibilities
Configure new production work areas with necessary tooling and equipment to optimize workflow
Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes) and precision-calibrated tools (torque wrenches, micrometers)
Perform drilling of precision holes to tight tolerances and install structural fasteners
Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S principles
Support payload systems and hardware preparation, including painting, sealing, composite layup, repairs, and vehicle assembly
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, structures, or related fields
Proficiency in basic hand tools and drills
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately
Experience with precision calibration tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, optical measuring instruments)
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
Familiarity with adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets
Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office
Preferred
Industry certification, trade school training, or degree in a related field
Knowledge of precision assembly processes and handling large aerospace components
Strong technical and leadership skills with attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Continuous improvement mindset; Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
Willingness to work overtime
